CONSUL is a digital participation platform that aims at helping governments across the world to install, deepen, and extend a culture of participation. Over 200 governments already use the platform, as do other stakeholders. CONSUL offers a comprehensive platform for different participation projects. It can be customised and includes options such as debates, proposals, voting, collaborative legislation, participatory budgets, and a newsletter.
In addition, CONSUL has a large online community with knowledge from the network available to anyone. It hosts many different events to educate its users on citizen participation, offers support, and links interested users to its Knowledge Network. With version 2.0, it is now easier to authenticate users, create custom pages, vote on proposals, and assign tags, recommendations and SDGs to different proposals on the platform.
